Among Strangers

I'm never so free as when I'm alone in a new space among strangers.  Perhaps I will be so lucky as to die in the midst of strangers in a public square and smile inwardly at their astonished faces as onlookers gazed at the ghastly scene before their eyes. Only angels, or devils, would hear my hearty laugh. 😅

Albuquerque to St Paul-Minneapolis Flight

I didn't know the Amish were allowed to travel by air. I was sure they were restricted to Amtrak and Greyhound. Perhaps I should inform the authorities in case they're runaways. "Attention Amish Travel Police, I am willing to negotiate the release of flight information so you may track them." Rules are rules after all and must be followed if you belong to a group, or society is headed for greater chaos.

94th Annual Indian Market, Santa Fe

Got here at 7 am when the market opened. Huge crowds and wonderful craftsmanship.

A Santa Fe Holiday

Raphael and I spent Saturday and Sunday in our second favorite city to get a little reprieve from our heat and to have a little fun.

Entertainment in the plaza....

Political dialogues....

Food....

Hidden doorways....

Hats and flowers....

Opera House, Santa Fe

We got tickets to The Apprentices--an excellent selection of musical pieces from different operas performed by a cast of excellent singers who want to be stars.

Many arrive early, as did we, to picnic and party in the parking lot before the show. The surrounding views are spectacular.

Tanisha, is the reason I have so many pictures of the opera building which features large areas that open to the skies. The skies didn't disappoint tonight.

Come visit us if you'd like a personal tour.

Mancos, Colorado

Camping further south and closer to home. We plan to be home tomorrow night. Warmer and drier today but we could get some rain tonight. Lovely clear day. We took a couple walks and made a campfire on which we roasted corn. I miss the dramatic views of the Rockies but the landscape is still very beautiful. Our campground is by Lake Jackson.

We ate lunch in a town called Dolores on the patio of the Riverside restaurant overlooking the river. I didn't enjoy my dish if Thai noodles too much. While we ate our tent and tarps dried in the sun in the parking lot.
